Fromagerie du Presbytère
Centre-du-Québec
A firm, washed rind farm cheese made from organic cow’s milk and aged 9, 16 or 24 months. The beautiful 40-kg rounds are imposing in both size and flavour. Inspired by Jurassien techniques, the Fromagerie du Presbytère has created a magnificent cheese, full of complex and delicate aromas after 9 months of ripening. The Louis D'or takes its name from the Louis D'or farm, which produces the full-flavoured organic milk used in this cheese. Louis was the second in the Morin family to run the farm, adding “D'or” to its name in a nod to the French currency introduced in 1640 during the reign of Louis XIII.
Available at the cheese maker and in certain specialty cheese shops.
