Rindless, firm cheese. Aged naturally for 3 years, it has a prominent hazelnut flavour and a firm texture.
The product line also offers cheeses aged from 2 to 5 years. As the cheese ages, the smooth and creamy texture becomes more crumbly, falling apart in the mouth, and the hazelnut flavour becomes stronger and the taste sharper. All of this gives the cheese its unique flavour. The Agropur Grand Cheddar Réserve Spéciale is available in supermarkets and some specialty cheese shops.
Mix into a sauce with white beer and mushrooms to accompany a steak.
